OSC-controller, detail: tablet3, page3
Software MaxMSP, detail

The solo for for fizzing powder, glass, computer, tablets, paper, voice, metal pieces, strings, field recordings, objects, and four live-played loudspeakers consists of five movements or scenes, whose microstructure and parameters vary in each performance and are adapted to the acoustics of the space. As a result, each concert becomes a unique, distinctive version of the composition.

Scenes, sound material and technology:

1
Field recordings: schoolyard, playground, busy street
MaxMSP, Spear: Ambisonics, spectral sound analyses, and sine wave reconstructions, among others
Controllers: TouchOSC and foot controller/Arduino (XY and rotary sensors)

2
MaxMSP: spectral freezing, sine wave reconstructions, and microtonal shifts
Live sculpture: liqueur glass, water, bow
Controllers: TouchOSC and foot controller/Arduino (XY and rotary sensors)

3
Field recordings: Flight to New York, stairwell, flagpole with a broken flag mount fluttering in the wind
MaxMSP: spectral freezing, live recording, etc.
Live sculpture: sheet metal and iron plates, microphones, bows, sticks
Controllers: TouchOSC and foot controller/Arduino (XY and rotary sensors)

4
Samples: red and yellow fizzing powder, dissolved in water droplets
Live sculpture: red fizzing powder, pipette, microphone, voice, paper bowed with a bicycle inner tube, screws, swivels, plastic caterpillar, steel wool, etc.
MaxMSP: live recording, spectral freezing, sawtooth oscillator, sine wave oscillators, etc.
Controllers: TouchOSC and foot controller/Arduino (XY and rotary sensors)

5
Field recording: Garden in front of the caretaker’s apartment at a city palace in Munich/Pasing
Live sculpture: String on a plank, viola bow, contact microphone, curved metal sheet, condenser microphones
