About

Composer-performers, Heather Frasch and Annette Krebs, have been developing their own sonic assemblages independently over the past years; exploring the possibilities and elaborating on, the inherent musical structures of sounds that can arise through high amplification and electroacoustic processing of the selected objects.

In their collaborative work process from 2022 – 2021, they exchanged not only sonic materials, but also their musical approaches, philosophies and compositional techniques. This performance combines the experiences and approaches of these two players in new music / improvised music / sound art and electroacoustic composition.

For each piece, one performer takes on the role as a guide, which means that they decided on which materials are played and the overall structure the piece takes. Yet the roles of composer and performer blur into one another. Each performer moves freely within the structure, extracting micro-gestures of instrumental particles, making decisions based on their own years of experience.
